Had pressure test and the verdict is

Postby Slightlyimperfect » 27 Aug 2015, 08:12

Hi Everyone,

Well i had my pressure test done finally (they didnt rush took them about 3 month in the end) went to see the CRS who told me i couldnt have lis because my pressures are normal and has booked me in for a camera and hems banded, even though at this point he hasnt inspected me.

Last year i saw a CRS who said he could sort my problem out and i had a fissurectomy and botox, at first everything seemed to be ok and then the botox run out and everything started getting a bit more painful than it was before.

After this i saw the CRS three more times after this and he had nothing else to add other than it looks like its healing when it clearly wasnt, so i totally lost faith in him and booked another CRS

Went to see new CRS and he said i needed pressure test and now i am here, i am at abit of a cross roads and dont know what to do, i am lucky i get private health care through work but every specialist i see seems to not be bothered or doesnt help with getting things sorted.

Does anyone have any suggestion, booking me in for hemmeroid banding when he hasnt even checked seems very strange

You may have residual pain from scar tissue where your fissure has healed. There would be no point giving you LIS if you have normal sphincter tone, especially if your fissure is healed.

I would certainly question the banding... Sounds very odd to me if he hasn't even looked. If it were me, I would ask for an EUA to confirm what, if anything, was going on in there.
