I have done several sessions of physical therapy and have done Botox several times which has helped decrease pain with bowel movements. I continue to struggle with neuropathic pain. My nervous systems has gone haywire.

Leemike,

You are certainly not alone in this. I too have suffered very painful nerve damage from rectal surgeries.
I wish I had the answer..... But sadly I don't. I just think alot of time and care and patience is needed.

Mine is not nerve damage.. It's more like my nerves are sending the wrong pain signals (like fibromyalgia). My pain started out of the blue; ive been seen by several doctors and physical therapists.. No pudendal neuralgia or any sorts like that. If I can help in any way, please don't hesitate to contact me. We are all suffering.

I have recently contacted the pain psychology center in los angeles, ca since I believe that my brain is what started this pain. It's a long story..

I read your story. I understand the pain you are in although my situation was/is different and you have been dealing with this longer. You can read my story if you like. I posted a lot here last July, 2014. I would still try to find a doctor that can help you. I suggest that you try physical therapy for pelvic floor dysfunction. I am also 39 but I am a woman, and have a small child. I know how debilitating this can be. Hang in there! I had burning for quite a while and still do at times. But it's fewer and farther between. Again, you have been dealing with this much longer. Botox healed my fissure but I got a fistula and had a simple surgery to fix that and that is where the nerve damage happened, I think. Don't give up. The body wants to heal itself!! Also, magnesium and seabuckthorn oil have helped me a lot. And calmol suppositories. Keep us posted :)
fissure May 2014
nitro, diltiazem
botox July
fistula surgery, piece of skin tag removed Oct
fissure declared healed Dec
currently have burning/pain-told it is nerve pain
physical therapy, sitz baths, valium suppositories
hoping I am healing
