Fissure story

Postby Shania213 » 01 Nov 2015, 12:28

My fissure started about a week and a half ago-it just seemed to appear when I saw blood and felt pain. However think Ive had it for a while...since May but it didn't cause any pain. I had a severe bout of diaorreah back in May when I went on holiday and think it stemmed got worse from there.

However I experienced a one off muscle spasm in January of this year when I couldn't go to the loo for two days so the whole thing is rather confusing for me????

Well whatever the reasons etc I have an anal fissure. It hasn't bled since last Wednesday as I have been following all the advise on this forum.

I also have low estrogen so not sure if the menopause links in with this crap????

So here begins my healing diary

my symptoms today-

mild nerve pinching on outside of anal canal
A touch of diarorreah due to the stool softner I think

Minimal pain after bowel movement
No spasms today!!

:D :D

Just thought I would log my experience yesterday which was different to today. Yesterday was a tough BM as tightness wouldn't allow it to pass- then interestingly I moved around a bit ie moved my hips and sat on the floor on my legs with them apart and the whole thing loosened up on its own!!!! and I had a bowel movement with minimal fuss after that. its so strange but felt good as it meant I was able to eat today!

Today was different again...a tough bowel movement...in stages.... tired of this already today plus an itching has started around the anal canal so have stopped the coconut oil incase its started to react with me?

Tough bowel movement . Spasms don't hurt.

Feeling pessimistic today that I will be one of those people who end up with it forever

Went for blood tests today....for some reason they couldn't get the blood out but managed to eventually.

It could be because of the lactulose and no food.

Ate well today. had a BM and minimal fuss.

The blood test arm is hurting more than my fissure today!

No blood and no spasms for two days now with 2 out of 10 pain after BM.

Want to try and come off the stool softner soon as I puree some of my food now.

Itching has reduced. Weight loss not so much an issue over the last two days as I managed to eat properly and feel physically better because Ive eaten properly

Soooo

I had my blood results and all is well apart form the low estrogen-thats what makes me feel so crap.

But would you believe after 6 months I have had a period and feel so well!

my bowel movements are 2/10 pain no blood for a while now

weight is back thank goodness.

My fear is that my doctor didn't seem interested in examining me again-Ive had other weird symptoms around the outside of my anal canal and am worried and too scared to self diagnose. The fissure doesn't seem to be causing any trouble.

Im sacred of an infection building up or something even though there is nothing there and no bleeding the fear is there this evening.

So period is now over.

I now realise why Ive been feeling so crap! I also have chronic fatigue symptoms from another condition I have so now it explains why I feel so crap!

I now think I have got pelvic floor issues hence my fissure.

back to that old chestnut!

My current symptoms are

paper cuts around the anal canal
burning sensations around the front part of my genital area

2/10 pain from the paper cuts when I do a BM
very little spasms at the moment but things chance all the time and I get soooo confused!

what a revelation!

That was not a period! I have thrush which has gone systemic!

I treated the thrush and the burning has gone thank god. Also my burning and smelly urine which I put down to fissure has gone too with a little cystitis cure.

I have thrush as a result of stool softeners and chocolate -Stopped the chocs

So now I have to be on a diet free of everything!!!

No choc no diary no cheese no mushrooms no vegetables unless its cabbage or avocado/No fruit/ No potatoes (Or very little/ No pre packed salmon which can compromise and weaken your immune system.

Am losing weight and my mind.

Last night I had a sense of urgency to go to the loo like IBS
It really wanted to come out but the sphincter muscle wouldn't quit! I took it slow but the pain was a lot!

Then as it passed through it got stuck in a pocket.ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

It wouldn't budge from the pocket and the pain was bad. Eventually and some how it managed to come out causing strain and retear!

I think I have loads going on

1/ low estrogen-Diagnosed by blood tests- I don't think it is menopause as doc suggests- I think it is linked to my somatoform condition as I don't get hot sweats!
2/ Leaky Gut- which has begun to improve -some symptoms have gone already thank God-No more sweet stuff for me!
3/pelvic organ prolapse-yet to be diagnosed.

so there we have it!

One thing improves and the other thing goes-its like a vicious cycle that I see no end to now.

Think I will have to leave my job!

What's gone

Chronic fatigue
burning when urinating and otherwise
smelly urine
brain fog

what remains

discoloured toe
itchy scalp
IBS symptoms (which started a eek ago)
strange muscle sensations although these have reduced alot

tongue has improved

It takes ages for systemic thrush to go

I knew there was something going on

:(

update

stool gone yellow- unable to pass

another fissure from Friday

still have candida symptoms

loosing weight

been to do-nothing sinister happening- had loads of blood work and vitamin D levels are good-long may this stay

So I have symptoms of candida think had it mildly but now realised that rectogesic and lactulose have reved it up so back to square one for me

Painful examination yesterday- doc said I don't have a prolapse so that's one thing-just the symptoms of it because everything is so reved

I saw a gastro and he looked from the outside-it was too sore for an examination-

no skin tags

soreness comes and goes with or without bowel movement.

last bowel movement needed magnesium so I must be deficient recently-no surprise there then!
