Postby miserablelife » 24 Jan 2016, 17:07

Hello everyone!

i was diagnose with levator ani syndrome, and my doctor recommends me for trigger point release therapy today. Have anyone tried this before? Will it hurts when they are in the process of doing this :( i'm wondering how will they be able to put a finger in when my anus is so tight and tense :(
Have anyone found relieve from this therapy? please enlighten me with your experience :thanx:

Hi there. I have levator ani syndrome as well. I have tried it all, physio, trigger point injections and botox. Trigger point therapy can be painful and sometimes it will flare you up too. Just know that it can be a long and painful process but with the right therapist you can definitely get relief.

Are you a male?

Yes im a male :)
It sucks so badly. Yesterday was my first session with the therapist, my anal region was so tight and stiff while the therapist insert her finger up there. I would need to go back every week for 1 session with her. Just wondering how long have you went before started to see some relief of results?

It's so hard to say. Everyone is different. How did you feel afterwards?

Yes, very normal. It may take weeks of this until you see some improvement. Hang in there :)
