Hey guys I'm 8 weeks into the constant pain. Have seen GP twice and specialist once and have no answers. Specialist wants to do a colonoscopy. I was prescribed rectogesic but quickly found out I am allegic to it!!

I've done so much research but have no answers, getting close to the point of a liquid diet.

I don't know how you long termers do it!!

:wel: Glad you found us! Sorry you're in such pain. That's how these wretched things progress...

If you're allergic to Rectogesic, your GP or specialist could try Diltiazem or Nifedipine.

Is the specialist a Colon and Rectal surgeon (CRS)? Don't know where you are, but if it's the UK and you can go private, suggest Mr. Windsor in London. Other have seen him on here. Use our search to see what others have said, including one of our admins and moderators.

You can see what I did from my signature, after constant pain, etc.
