I was hoping (and still hope) to be a success story. I am learning to take this one day at a time and be thankful on those days with no pain. After about 6 weeks of smooth sailing, I had a relapse. I contribute this to two triggers: diet and extended periods of sitting. I was very disciplined in my diet, would eat only that which you could "pick": fruits, veggies, beans. Then last week I was traveling and had pita bread, white rice, regular bread, vegan cheese. I also spent a good deal of time driving. That old familiar scratchiness returned along with some blood. Sad, but at least I know I cannot deviate from the diet. Good luck to all. We can do this!
