I had 2 rounds of Botox and a lot of scar tissue removed from a bridge that had formed. It takes so long and I've just had a bit of a bad pain on bowel motion but it only lasted a few seconds now I've got nothing.

The human body is very strange.
Suffering since June 2013

Methods tried:
GTN cream - migraines!
Manuka Honey / Coconut oil / Aloe
tag excision X 2, botox x 3
Dilatiazem
dilatation 2 X daily + Retin-C Vitamin Scar Treatment Oil 2 X daily - best thing ever.
Now pain free 2/7/21

Fissure frustration,

Are you saying you are completely free of all sensations/pain now? Or are you talking about a specific incident you experienced today?

Hi guys, i was here looking for the same thing.
I've had the 12 oclock fissure for 13 months.
I am a lot better now and usually i have no pain, just a mild irritation when stools pass.
I'm still surgery free, but my main problem is itching. I wasn't have any itch for about a month or so but a couple of days ago i had to have a bm in a public restroom and wiped with normal paper. It was the first time after 13 months and i felt like i was able to pull through it. Of course the same night the itchiness came back.
I tried some sudocrem which i found to be calming it down very quickly but its too early to say.
Maybe you could try sudocrem or any zinc oxide cream out there too, it certainly relieves itchiness almost instantly and soothes the area but i have no idea if its short or long time.

Positive sun,

I had irritation and it went away after I got Botox to the pelvic floor muscles. When there is an injury in the pelvic area (s) the pelvic floor muscles tighten up and that is what causes that itching and irritation around the anal area. I would suggest that your doctor refers you to a pelvic floor physical therapist and a pelvic pain specialist for more information.

Thank you Alyssa I will look into that! If you don't mind me asking, are you at a point now where you have no sensation, awareness, pain, itch, ect. in that area now?

Positive sun,

I have other issues going (pelvic pain) from the central nervous system but the itchiness/ irritation that you were speaking of, I had and it resolved once I had Botox done to the pelvic floor muscles. And am no longer aware of that area.

Help Please ! treatment??

Postby Jacqueline » 13 Nov 2016, 21:42

Hi Alyssa, I just started reading your posts and realise I'm been battling
the same condition for the past 1 year since my surgery. Despite the
healing of the wounds, pain persists after a BM just like yours. I even
have trouble walking for too long. How are you doing these days? Did pelvic
floor therapy help? My doc is too afraid to try botox on me...any advice?
Would really like to hear from you.

Jac..

I would suggest that you see a pelvic floor physical therapist to get an evaluation on your pelvic floor. I did and found that my muscles were tight which was causing the irritation. All that is gone now.

I do.... hope thats healing.Am now towards the end of healing
my fissure. Pain stopped and blood also (more than a week now). But an
inching started with every BM. And it continious for a few hours but in a
very mild tone. I wonder.... is that healing or is something wrong.... may
be an iritation from the suppositorys or the acute fissure is turning to
chronic one.

Did you had.such an expirience with itchinng?

All the best
Chris
