Healed but still feeling something..

Postby positivesun » 14 Jul 2016, 01:58

Hey everyone,

Here is an update on my situation.

I got the courage to go get another colonoscopy. This guy is one of the top colo/rectal doctors in my state.

The doctor said I should heal in a month. The fissure at my front is healed. I still have one in the back that doesn't cut down to the muscle and is almost healed.

All of this is great news except I still have a raw, itchy feeling. This feeling comes and goes but it usually constant.

For people who have healed, how long did you have any type of feeling in that area before it became 100% a thing of the past and no sensation.

Also has anyone felt a hard, scab like texture under your skin? Doctor couldn't see/feel it but sometimes when I am applying my ointment I can feel it.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi PositiveSun -- we are all so different...my experience (so far) is that I am healed but still have very minor sensations that can be around during the day for no apparent reason...no pain really just an awareness and sometimes an annoyance. Some days it is not there at all -- my doc tells me it is from a papilla that formed as a result of the fissure.

i will live with it for now...if it gets problematic i will have it removed

Once healed the sensations should fade away considerably...and it can take months. As for feeling a harder area...very likely could be scar tissue.

Hey Canada thanks for taking the time to share.

The hard bump seems to disappear and reappear, but the sensations I feel come from that general area. It's exactly like you described, an awareness that becomes annoying because I constantly can feel it.

This is my 6 months since I got my two fissures. Doctor said if I come back in I can try Botox.

I'm just looking for other possibilities of what could be wrong.

In my situation my fissure was caused from receiving a prostate massage from my gf (huge mistake).

It makes me wonder if I have nerve damage or something else could be injured that isn't superficial like a fissue cut..

I also see a lot of people talking about seeing a pelvic floor specialist. Like maybe my muscles aren't contracting right?

I don't know which direction to go for help, the top doctor in the state said my fissure in the front healed and the one in the back is almost healed. I can't imagine why I still have this feeling then.

Another thing that helps to describe it is it sometimes feels like a pressure right inside my anus towards the front. Almost like I need to go but there is nothing there to push out. (And no I am not constipated, stools are good, no pain while defecating)

If someone took the path of healing naturally, did you reach a point where you felt 100% normal with no sensations, feelings, pain, itch, ect.? And how long did that take.
