Hi there new mom, I have had a few anal fissure in my life and one was soon after the birth of my child when I was 27. Like you it was hard at first and lactating and breast feeding with all that pain was a challenge. I improved after I had the LIS for the second time ( 10 years after my first one). I really think there are many ways to heal from my own experience. This time it recurred and I am 40 years old and it's Botox . But the most lasting change seems to be diet and using changes in my diet helps my BM stay soft. I use mostly fruit/ soups like lentil and peas for soluble fiber and occasional insoluble fiber like brown rice or quinoa . I think it take a lot of life style changes but pain becomes manageable if BM is soft. I drink lots of water and also oil ( coconut oil) 1 tsp twice a day. Do u use miralax? That and colace along with magnesium have helped manage the pain.
Hang in there - definitely better days to come. But I understand you pain as it needs so much patience.
