Garrett--Did he say LIS would make you unhappy or a hemmiectomy? Perhaps you could get both at the same time. i heard the LIS drastically cuts down on healing time.
LIS bacially means that the dr partially cuts your internal sphincter muscle on the side, rather than the front or the back where it's weakest and may result ina keyhole deformity. This cut weakens the involuntary muscle and stops it from spasming and tightening. Since you have both an internal and external sphincter muscle, LIS does not usually interfere with bowel function or cause incontinence.

Juney, you are right. If you find right OB/GYN , he/she would work with you and schedule c- section for you. Why do you think most of movie stars have c-sections ??? ; )) They avoid damage to the pelvic floor and also have tummy tuck done at the same time so they "get in shape oh so fast " ; ))). Anyway, if I knew what I know today - I would ask for C-section with my second child PRONTO !!!
All the best @: )
