Is it that easy to get an anal-fissure and do they heal?

Postby averageJoe2000 » 14 Aug 2016, 23:43

Hello. I didn't do anything forceful or anything . basically i used an adult toy and only put in about an inch or less in. yeah sorry it sounds sick but that's how it was. the whole thing lasted like 5 seconds.

I did not feel any pain at the time. It was the days after that i began feeling intermittent pain and constipation.
Based on what i've heard this might be an anal fissure.

BUt why was it that easy? ANyhow, is there anything i can do to get better? it's been a week and i'm struggling not so much with pain, in fact pain is minimal. But i feel a feeling of tension down there and i have bad constipation. Along with some other sensation somewhat like soreness that comes and goes.

Is there a chance that i might get better? And why did the constipation set in if the immediate inner anal area has nothing to do with what the intestines do. I would think the whole bowel movement would continue working fine.

If things are not improving, see a colon and rectal surgeon. Believe me, people using toys is not unusual to them, so don't worry about that!!

Hey averageJoe,

Buttplay is a very normal thing to do - regardless of sexual orientation. It is nothing to be embarrassed of and it isn't "sick". We all have nerve endings down there - curiosity and interest in exploring is up to the individual.

I hope by now you are feeling better - the reason I wrote in is just to let you know you are not alone in trying out a toy.

Anal fissures themselves are unlikely to cause constipation (however, being scared to poop as a result of pain causes constipation for some).

There is a high chance your butt will get better - and there are things you can do to expedite the process. I think it's fair to assume by now you have had a few BM or seen a doctor, but if it happens again or if you are suffering from ongoing constipation - you should consider taking stool softeners (softer stools = less pressure on an anal fissure) and laxatives if you really need to go (3 or more days have gone by since your last BM). You should take sitz baths and consider changing your diet (you can read this forum or google diet ideas to help anal fissures).

Make sure to use lots of lubricant when you play with anal toys to prevent injury! Don't be embarrassed to explore your body.

Let us know how you are doing!

Thanks steven.

Now i'm almost a month and still i feel symptoms. I can go to the bathroom but there's just something strange feeling and i'm not going at my usual times. I do feel much better by now but i still feel a slight pain. Went to several doctors and they don't seem to think i have anything serious. Yet here i am worrying and can't think straight all day long.

the thing is i barely even did anything and yet i see these porn girls who really put things in there and they dont seem to get hurt. that's what i don't understand.

The stools are not even hard. when i do they're quite easy. Sometimes it's more about not feeling the necessity to go even though i may have stool ready to be released. It's stranged. And yeah i also don't often do the usual banana like i used to before. it comes more in pieces. Is this sound like constipation?

Sometimes though there have been days when i don't do at all and yet prior to this incident i always everyday went to the bathroom.

So maybe a mix of constipation and dysfunction. i don't know. anyways, seems i'm getting alitle better.

Dude . . . porn stars are professionals; they've had years to ply their craft, to train, stretch, whatever. And don't think for a minute that some of those girls don't have fissures - a lot of them do. So there's that.

If I were you, I would definitely avoid putting ANYTHING in your butt until it feels absolutely A-OK. Otherwise, you'll just keep ripping that spot. For right now, treat your bum as an "Exit Only" door.

Thanks for the response. So Should i expect a year to heal? And i'm not putting anything anymore. that was just some stupid experimentation.

I was taking fiber for the constipation. seemed it was working so i stoppped taking it. but then about 3 days ago my times again are strange and feel constipated again.

This is like a difficult thing. I feel bad for all the people in this forum that suffer worse than me. I'm pretty bad in sensations and constipation but i never bled or have extreme pains like others. Interestingly the doctors say i don't have fissures, that they just saw inflammation but i don't understand how inflammation can last so long(4 weeks already)and giveme some very odd sensations.

I am not exactly sure on healing time, or if whatever happened will heal on its own at all. If it were me (and I WAS you for three years, except my fissure was created by stress, constipation and a huge turd), I would give the fiber diet a good run for its money. Don't stop taking it once you start noticing positive results - if anything, continue the regimen for several more weeks or months. Give that spot some time to heal. If, after several weeks/months you are still suffering, I would start looking at other options. But it WAS working (the fiber) - keep it simple, and keep doing what was working. My two cents, anyway.

Joe, calm down. Anal fissures occur from many things. I have enjoyed the toy and the real thing, butt I didn't get any until I had stopped such behavior. Actually stretching the anus is or one of the ways to healing fissures, but an easier way is talk to a doctor. Most doctors prescribe hydrocortisone suppositories to start with but I think they just worse'n the problem by thinning the skin back there. It's a cut or tear that needs to heal. Ask your doctor about Nifedipine compounded into a cream. It relaxes the sphincter muscle because clenching makes it worse. There is no silver bullet other than time. If you are taking fiber or stool softingers you must drink lots of water otherwise the fiber will make you constipated. Fiber is a sponge to take fluid into the bowel. Good luck.

Hi, getting a fissure is pretty common. The key to recovery if it's not on the mend within a week is to see a doctor. A fissure should heal in 6-8 weeks after that it's no longer considered acute, it's considered chronic and when they become chronic they are harder to heal. The longer the fissure remains unhealed the harder it is to heal it without some kind of treatment.

I agree with this -- I let mine go for a LONG time, years, and ended up having LIS after numerous other treatments failed. It all turned out well in the end (lol), but I wish I had jumped all over that SOB sooner, taken it more seriously, instead of pussy-footing around with a little more fiber here, a little more water there . . . sure, Matt, go ahead and eat that popcorn, it won't kill you.
