FIber supplement no longer working. It worked for a while then it stopped. And for like a week now, i've been having extreme constipation. Like today i didn't have a BM the whole day. I have an appointment for Next week and I have slight pain. We gotta attack this problem from all angles..
Thanks all for your suggestions.
Some of you suggested i have anal fissure and even myself but i already got checked as i posted a few posts ago and the doctor just saw swelling.

Why then doesn't it stop hurting(slight pain not big)and why do i still have extreme constipation after 4 weeks+. ?
It's a mystery.
So I'm going to go checked again.

Yeah. That is strange. My fissure hurt like a ping-pong ball sized, red-hot cockle-burr shoved up my butt. Let us know what the new verdict is.

I'm still having the constipation. i went to doctor and he just kind of ignored me but said to keep taking fibrous and the usual stuff. i'm doing it but i still dotn feel the same as before. Urge sensations are almost none. It's hit or miss. I have been going in the mornings but it's hit or miss.

I wonder if my whole system went wacko

I'm stymied. It doesn't sound like a fissure, at least not in my experience.

Hi guys i'm back. Just wanted to say I am still suffering with this. Some pain, and a lot of problems with stools. If it's not a fissure, like MattMecham said, then what in the world is it? Nerve damage or intestinal tract going into shock and getting stuck there?

Hello

I have been talking with another user on this forum about the same problem you are dealing with.. which I am also suffering from.

I experimented with a toy for the first time, and I have had irritation there ever since.

This has now been 8 months since the original incident occurred.

While I do feel slightly better, the irritation definitely still exists.

Information online and this forum is very limited. I am starting to think this is possibly nerve damage as well but I don't have much to go off of and doctors are no help. Visual exams thus far have given no clues.

Please continue to update and I will do the same. If anyone on this forum has any ideas or suggestions please help. This suffering has gone on long enough.

Hello again. I'm back. To update you i am not better yet. the pain continues although the pain is intermittent and not very often. But the main thing along with the pain, is being unable to have a complete sizeable stool. I just drop little pieces. It was assumed to be constipation but I do not strain at all, i just don't have anymore to expell and constipation medication and supplements have not worked so i don't think it's constipation. The initial checkup showed no signs of tears or fissures. It's interesting that an injury down there has caused dysfunction in the bowel, bowelmovement, stool shape and size. Thank you for the mesage positivesun. Sorry you're experiencing a similar thing. It's really annoying and worrying having this thing.

This thought just popped into my head, but have you tried psyllium husks? I know that when I was having a similar issue years ago (unrelated to fissure, just having a hard time with my butt), drinking water with psyllium husks cleaned me right out -- I thought vital organs were going to start shooting out of me, there was so much stuff, lol. It may help.

A LOT better now that I finally got the courage to try DMSO. I used a brand I found on Amazon that has rose and aloe mixed in. Nothing short of a miracle, still very mild irritation but nothing compared to where I was.
