Hi all,


I've had a fissure since Feb 16' and have tried all of the topical cremes
out there. Things have improved so much, no bleeding since July 16'. No pain at all. But, w
hen I look at my fissure, I can still see there is something there.

Could it just be scar tissue? It certainly isn't red or raw, or bleeding. It seems to just be
blended into the skin around the anus, with a tiny depth of maybe 1mm...it doesn't hurt to press against either. Are other peoples' like this too?
After LIS and botox etc, is there still 'evidence' that you had a fissure?

Perhaps people would even know where I could find photos on healed or healing fissures? Google is no help, perhaps people have posted pics here? I could only find ones of 'new' fissures.

Hey and welcome to the forum.

Healed fissure looks like almost nothing in ideal case, it is just skin like everything around. However, you could develop sentinel tag during fissure presence, and it looks like a small bump on the skin. You should not worriy on this.

Of course scar tissue can be a case also, but for more chronic cases. Healed acute fissures looks like regular skin
