I saw my CRS today for my follow up lis and he told me my fissure has healed after 17 days. I told him I still have discomfort when sitting and he did an exam and when he hit the sore spot I told him and he said that it was scar tissue ffrom the 3 internal hemorrhoids I had banded and it will stregthen over time. He said to use the nifedipine 3 times a day and go up1 inch.
He has 25 years experience and said mine was pretty bad but seen worse. So I am feeling pretty good after hearing this. He said my fissure was a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10 so he said considering that I am doing well in recovery. He said take metemucil twice a day and keep up the fiber plenty of watervto keep things moving

Well I am now 24 days post lis surgery and significant improvement. Bm today barely any pain hope that continues. Able to sit longer . I would say on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being totaly symptom free I would give this a 8. Have not had to do a sitz bath and one app of nifedipine. I am though having alot of gas probably due to the excess water and fiber. Only time I really feel any discomfort appears to be gas build up then wham out it comes and feel ok.Still on guard but nothing compared to where I was. Progress for sure. I continue to drink plenty of water and at least 20 grams of fiber a day.

I hope so but last night I had alot of BM but it was soft and it did burn some may of been due to the sausage and egg burritos. Been eating salads last few days so I think it helped make me go . I did have to take a bath after so not completely there. I guess I stiil better watch what I eat.Had to go again this morning then had a small cup of coffee and so far so good. Fingers crossed
