Well pain today has been fluctuating between a 4 and a 6 the spasms stopped this morning which was an improvement as last time they lasted 24 hours this time about 13 hours. I decided this could take ages to get better and could possibly require more drastic steps so....I dragged myself up and as I had promised my daughter I would go dress shopping with her that is exactly what I did....if this fissure is staying with me a while then I need to carry on as best I can, I enjoyed the shopping and although I was in pain and quite a bit towards the end, my daughter and me had a nice time together. I have had a burger and chips and 3 marshmallows but I have taken extra loperamide so let's see what happens...fingers crossed no BMs till at least tomorrow evening.
Pain level at the moment is a 6 but can always take painkillers so I can sleep.

So glad that you were able to make the best of things and enjoy yourself. I can barely deal with this with my parents helping me (I basically moved back home for the time being), let alone having children to care for on top of it. Even if your healing is slow, distracting yourself and actually having a good time will at least make the time pass quicker!

Thinking of you - praying for an A+ day tomorrow for you!

Thanx GG,
I think it's because I have had crohns for the past 15 years and if I didn't carry on through the pain then lots of my life would have been spent in bed. Although the pain of fissures beats anything else I have ever had. When I'm in full on spasms it's bed and sobbing I was literally howling the night before screaming with the pain....couldn't have moved if you had offered me a million pounds. But I figure if the pain is a 7 or under then I need to get on with what I would normally do....because if I wait to feel okk I could be waiting a very long time and I refuse to let this awful thing make me miss out on my life. It is hard though....I have uni work to do today and I'm not sure I can even sit....so I may end up standing or kneeling to type lol....not fun.
I got through last night on one cocodamol and managed a good 7 hours sleep...am hoping a BM holds off until later today as I have quite a lot I need to get done before work tomorrow.
Well fingers crossed for a good day

Hi IT,
Had an okk day pain has been a 4 all day but my stomach is now making noises so I'm sure there is a BM on the way soon...really hoping it's just the once this time as I cannot cope with the spasms again.
Still have that strange pulling feeling which is quite disconcerting
How have you been IT?

Fingers crossed for a good day - do you have stitches mypoorbutt?
Maybe the tugging feeling is just from that as the wound is healing.
