Managed to sleep a good 6 hours last night with no painkillers just my GTN. Had to do a shop this morning so off out in the car...still uncomfortable pain level before sitting was a 3 after a 5 then I had to walk round a rather large supermarket and sit in the car on the way home am now at a 6 but will be getting in a bath soon. Going to stick with a scone and two slices of toast today, will add something more tomorrow.

I have ordered a pillow off amazon as I did use one after the Botox and it does help a little...but when my pain got better my Siamese cat claimed the cushion and there is no way I will get it back now.

Well today has been good after the pain of the journey too and walking round the supermarket. I have had 3 baths which has def helped I know I should have more and am actively trying....doesn't help that we have a busy household.
Pain eventually went down to a 2 and has stayed there but I haven't had a BM since Tuesday so to be honest that probably has a lot to do with it.
Going to eat a bit more tomorrow and maybe ease up on my crohns meds a little....it's so hard trying to find a happy medium if BMs, before the fissure I never really managed it so it's no surprise I'm still struggling now.
Let's see what tomorrow brings...hopefully a pain free Bristol 3 BM
Fingers crossed

Holding thumbs. From what Ive heard my op should within 10 days of the bloodwork so within a month I will probably be in the same boat, learning from your experience.
Nice to know 2017 will start off pain free... hopefuly

Oh that's great IT, you will be fine, I'm sure your recovery will be much smoother than mine...I was warned that it could be long and often painful. From what I have read most people with LIS are pretty much pain free after a few weeks if not straight away.
So glad you will be getting it so soon :D

It all depends. My hemmis have been acting up lately so I wouldnt be surprised if they get rid of them in the process but Ive mentally written off a month for recovery with the first week in pain. What counts is the long run...

I agree totally that's one reason why I pushed to have it done...I asked them to avoid removing my hems if possible but they have def taken one of them lol.
We have to do our best and if existing issues may make things more complicated it doesn't mean we shouldn't at least try
I'm sure after the first week or so you will feel like the old you
