I'm really sorry to hear that the LIS hasn't been very effective yet.
I also suffered terribly from chronic diarrhea before the surgery, and accidentally discovered that it had been caused by coffee (I only consumed a cup and a half per day, and had done so for 20 years with no trouble before, so had no idea that it could have been the source of my trouble). I recently started to have diarrhea again, and ended up having quite severe fissure pain, but once I got the diarrhea under control again (after carefully studying my diet on days when I didn't have diarrhea vs. the days I did, I discovered that I needed to eat a boiled potato with the skin on every day, and have been diarrhea-free for about 4 weeks now). I know that everyone's bowel action and susceptibility is completely different, so it's unlikely that those foods would help
you, but if you can somehow find a way to keep your stools hard, that might be the real answer to your problem, and a route to getting back to your old (happy) life.
