It's sooooo annoying though you do everything you can...I mean I would have loved a coke but no I had lemonade and still this happens.
The loose stools and acid caused my fissure I have never had a formed stool until I started trying to control them because of this fissure.
To be honest I haven't had a spasm in over 3 weeks but this is the worst my IBS has been for a while so we will see how it reacts to this...I'm now on number 3....how is that even blooming possible from halve a can of lemonade lol

I love coke haven't had it since I got my fissure but the lemonade done just as much as the coke would have...for not even half as much enjoyment. I struggle so hard to get a firm BM I'm on two tablets to try and stop the IBS plus tablets for the crohns....and still it can surprise me and I'm going to the toilet like clockwork every 20 mins...like an awful mount Vesuvius.
I'm running my bath as I type after doing number 4 (cries into bathtub lol)

What do you take for ibs? I was exactly like you until I started taking amitryptiline, it controlled my spasm pain that I got daily and it stoped me going so many times a day every time I ate! Don't get me wrong it still happens now and again especially around period time and I can't eat hardly anything with a sauce anymore but I couldn't live without that medication

I'm taking the amitryptiline loperamide and psyllium to try and slow things down and firm things up....but I'm not sure anything could stop my colon when it decides to show off. The amitryptiline seems to work really well for 3 weeks as long as I'm careful what I eat then I need to up the dosage which I can't keep doing as I also have a dodgy liver. It's so frustrating as I know if I could stop the multiple acidic BMs then my fissure would heal.
