Yes I had itching on and off for awhile. I think in the end time is the greatest healer

Honestly for awhile. I still feel it from time to time, it just slowly gets milder and milder. That's why I think time is the only long term solution.

Jackline, I came across your post and I too have been having the same issues. I had a fissure /hems that could not be seen, and I suffered terrible spasms and tightness, Tried Nitro for a couple months, but still had this charlyhorse knot higher up, and tightness, burning etc.. could not sit or stand mostly had to lay on my side. I had this for 6 months and then had Botox (they put me to sleep) and did an anoscope found the fissure and two hems, The botox made the hems worse but two weeks he said the fissure was healed? because he could not see it anymore possible underlying tissue still not fully healed and that was 2 weeks ago and I have still the tightness even more soreness dull ache pain and pinching pulling knots which I believe has turned into PFD. Wondered if you or anyone you know of were able to relieve this somehow, Since it has been so long, I am hoping the pain can still be treated and I can get back to a normal life God Willing. Let me know, I think alittle reassurance will help knowing there is light at the end of the tunnel. This Golf ball feeling and pain has to come to an end.... sooner than later.. Any news would be appreciated.

Mama,

I had that golfball feeling too! Where was the Botox injected? Only on the sphincter?

I had the Botox injected on the pelvic floor muscles and the sphincter.. Under sedation and I no longer have that feeling.

Yes I was under sedation, 1 month ago, he only put the botox in the inner spchincter on each side of fissure, I dont think he used too much but I suppose it was enough to heal the fissure, I suppose he should have treated the pelvic floor as well? Just trying to see if I should give it more time, some may be due to hemmrhoids that could be pulling on the connecting muscles but they are def hypertonic. Are you able to sit now without aching burning tightness? I appreciate your help so much. Just not sure what to do, Tired of laying in bed most days, as soon as there is a better day, the following is awful again. I dont think I want anymore invasive procedures to that area only seems to make things worse and trigger more pain? I know there is hope, I pray you are doing better at least, whatever you can share is appreciated.

The problem is that the muscles of the pelvic floor become tight when there is a fissure (self guarding) and those muscles need to be addressed as well. I would suggest that you get a referral to a pelvic pain specialist or pelvic floor physical therapist for an evaluation. When I went in for my examination to the specialist, she said my muscles were very tight!
