Oh well - I am not single LOL , but as a former fissure sufferer I will definitely not find your donut turn off ; )) ! Anyway - I HATE seeing you "self -afflict" additional pain , and as you could see, my friend Chris is also willing to help ; ) , so you will have two gals bossing you around if you don't stop doing that LOL !!!

I have been using it for 4 days. I only use a teaspoon and that does the trick! Thats only 1/6 of the adult dosage! It has made my life so much better these past few days!

Do you take Metamucil and MOM? I take Metamucil 3 times a day and some days my poo is not very soft. I know it makes me go to the bathroom everyday like clockwork, though. Just need it to be softer and stool softeners don't seem to work for me. I've been afraid to try MOM because my Mom was on it all her adult life and she ended up in her later years having trouble going to the bathroom without alot of effort. I just always figured it was because she had become tolerant to MOM.
I go back to the doctor next Monday because I can't get the bleeding to stop this time even back on the nitro cream. I'm guessing it's because of the on and off firmer poo. I want her to check and see if there is a fissure this time. If it's still not a fissure and she says it could be a yeast problem again, I'm going to push her to do some sort of test to check that for sure. Same thing if she says again that it could be internal hemorrhoids. Everything's been iffy so far. I really want to know what's causing this bleeding and pain for sure, so I know what I'm dealing with.
Sorry to ramble. Just kind of down today.

I just thought of another question. Was it your doctor who recommended MOM or did you just start using it on your own? The reason I ask is I just have a feeling my doctor will poo-poo (no pun intended) the idea. She's really into lots and lots of fiber and that should be enough to keep things moving and soft. If you've had a doctor like that and you went ahead and took MOM without them advising you to, were they upset with you? I guess I've just always done what doctors said and haven't been much into taking things without an okay from them. Probably stupid on my part, I think it's good girl syndrome! Image

Some doctors blame the fissure entirely on not getting enough fibre but I think thats unfair and a load of rubbish. I know people who have never eaten fruit or veg in their life and eat junk food and fizzy drinks. I have always had a healthy diet , never had constipation yet ended up with a fissure!
