Fistula Since EST 2010

Postby itsbobguy » 08 Mar 2017, 16:23

Hello Friends,

I've had anal fistula since I believe 2010 or 2011 (6-7 years ago), I've lost count of track after so many hopeless years of unresolved solution. As many have mentioned, same goes to me at the age of my mid 20s I've already felt like my life is unsuccessful and many health problems. Anyway after this many years, I decided to come here and see if I can maybe find some helpful advice or things I don't know about, every though I've research through many are and don't see any new solution. So as for my status of my anal fistula, I was told I have 3 as of now. First one was a anal abscess then formed into a anal fistula with no treatment. The second one I believe came 1-2 years after about a inch apart from the first one. Then this new final one which came early last year 2016, is on the other side of my butt cheeks. So yes after many years, it has gotten so much worst and worst. Only good news I can see is that I believe (I think) that I have built a good immune system about 3 years ago. I rarely become sick anymore, most I can remember is 1 at the most a year. I tend to workout at home doing push up, sit up couple days a week and ever since I don't get sick anymore. But it seems to do nothing to my anal fistula as you see it went from 1 to 2 then 3. Many of you probably are wondering why haven't I talk to a colon & rectal surgeon, well it is very tough. I work at a job that doesn't qualify for Medicare so I have to buy my own health insurance at $300 / month with no co-pay or whatsoever just deductibles which is almost useless unless you spend that amount. So most of these colon & rectal surgeon in my area (NY) cost about min. $300 just for a visit with no procedures done. I really can't afford that with my monthly salary. But yes its your own health, so I had seen a couple in the past. But I feel like most of the information they've told me, I've already know them off the internet, I feel like I am wasting my money half the time. I mean it would be fine if I had co-pay discounts like $10-50 a visit, then yes I would love to hunt my way for solution through all this year. But yea many things added up, toughen my life. So I'm just trying to see if there advice you guys recommend, because I feel like this fistula thing has probably done the most damage it can for me already, don't even think I can live too much longer to be honest.

Thanks for taking the time reading this guys.

Sorry for what you're going through, but have to tell you that you cannot cure a fistula/abcess without surgery. Can you not find a good surgeon, and discuss paying it off over time? It is a wretched medical system here, that you cannot get the help you need. I am in another 'boat' so to speak. I have basal cell cancers and cannot afford to get them operated on, (plus no skin specialists where I live) so know how you feel. It is not the end of the world though!! Talk to a doctor, explain the situation, and just push them.
