Yes I'm 6 months post LIS and still have bleeding. My bleeding isn't from the fissure anymore but now the wound from the sugery still hasn't healed. Are you having pain or just blood?

That's too bad. Me also. I'm wondering if after a year things will get better

She previously said give it 6 months and we can talk about having more surgery to do it again or something

Mine is almost 2 months post op. Then past few days I had a semi-hard stool and then the blood came. Since then, I have this bleeding daily for 4 days. It only happens during the BM time. Then it stops. I mentioned to my CRS on the last follow-up appointment. He assured me the fissure has healed and the bleeding is from the tissue. It is still very soft. Every time the stool is passing and rubbing on it, thus the bleeding. I am less worried but I am frustrated.

Paine, it is getting better each week. Now, there is still slight swelling on the external part... like tiny beans. But they have subsided a lot. My CRS said it will go away eventually... Yeah, no more pain. Even during BM times, it is OK. Just the scrapping and discomfort if I have a bit hard stool but I have been very careful with my diet. Took a couple of toast that day and thus paying the price. :-(

oh i envy you for having no pain. sometimes i keep thinking will i ever completely heal? most of the pain or almost all of it comes from the surgery side.
