Bump after LIS

Postby Mattj8501 » 09 Sep 2017, 16:22

I had an LIS done on 6/12/17. I head healing fine for a while and then had a bout of constipatition about a month and a half ago and it set me back a little. Started healing normally again and got super strict on my BM protocol, (stool softener, tons of water, good fiber intake, no red meat or dairy). For the past two weeks I have had more pain than usual and I have noticed a bump on my incision site. I believe the fissure is fully healed. This causes major pain while driving. I have an appointment on 9/18/17 but I was wondering if anyone else had experienced anything like this? It's been painful to sit since march of this year and it's wearing on me. I feel there's no relief in site.

Hi I haven't had surgery yet but i have a skin tag and a hemroid so if it pink or red an at the end of your old fissure I'd say it's a skin tag if it's causing pain they may remove it but if it's more a purple colour I'd say it's a hemroids. Good luck

How did your appointment go. I had the same thing. It was a small abscess at the incision site
