Hemorrhoidectomy survival tips?

I will be going under the knife next month, and have read all of the hemorrhoidectomy-related posts on this site.

If you have any suggestions on how to handle the pain, or things to do (or NOT do), I'd really appreciate any and all advice out there!

Fissure diagnosed in 2011
Diltiazem for two years - didn't work well
LIS January, 2015
Hemorrhoidectomy December, 2017

I hope all goes off well for you chachacha. It sounds like a scary surgery but I hope you'll have a quick recovery. Do ask your doctor if dilation is recommended after the surgery as I've read in several places that it helps prevent any canal narrowing down the line.

8/16-12/16: Fissure due to antibiotics
5/17: Botox to sphincter, fissure healed
9/19: Trigger point injections and pudendal nerve block
11/19: Botox to pelvic floor
8/20: Botox to pelvic floor in new location.
On and off in pelvic physical therapy

Yes, stenosis is one of the risks, so I will ask. Thanks for the good wishes.
