Butt problem, year and a half desperate for help

Postby what_wrong_with_butt » 05 Jan 2018, 15:12

Age - Mid 20's Sex - Male Height - 6 FT Weight - 14.5 stone Duration of complaint - 1 year, 6 months
Hi all,
I am looking for any help at all for my sore butt that I have now had for a year and 6 months. My butt hole has had a cut which I've been told is a fissure by DR but It has still not healed, after having some scar tissue cut away and applying creams, Sudocrem, Vaseline,Diltiazem, not all at the same time but at different points. It bleeds almost every single day weather I have a bowel movement or not but causes no pain unless I touch it. Currently trying espom salts in the bath and putting vasaline on it, but I don't think it will do much for me.
I hope someone else can tell me what it is maybe and how I can fix this

Thanks all

To my untrained eye that looks and sounds like a fissure. Have you been offered Botox or LIS? If the ointments don't heal you then one of those is usually the next step. And do make sure you visit a colorectal specialist. Sorry you're dealing with this pain for so long but I hope you will get the right treatment soon.
8/16-12/16: Fissure due to antibiotics
5/17: Botox to sphincter, fissure healed
9/19: Trigger point injections and pudendal nerve block
11/19: Botox to pelvic floor
8/20: Botox to pelvic floor in new location.
On and off in pelvic physical therapy

I have been offered botox but I've heard it never works. Is that true?

Yes I’m pretty sure that’s a fissure, it’s good your not having a lot of pain with it as the spasms can be horrendous. I had Botox and it got rid of the spasms but didn’t help my fissure heal (it was deep though). There have been a few people on here that have healed through Botox and as your fissure appears fairly small and not too deep Botox may help.
If your in the UK and in the nhs you will struggle to get a CRS to do LIS without having tried Botox at least once. Have you been given the resting pressure test as if your sphincter tone is high then it’s hard for a fissure to heal even if your not having spasms. So perhaps Botox is worth a try
You could also try comfrey ointment as it really does heal wounds really well, I used it after my LIS and my incision site healed really quickly. My friend used it on a puncture wound and it worked in a few days. But it does sting....well it did on me anyway lol.
Good luck and I hope you get it sorted

It is fissure. Botox healed mine. I am pain free for almost 2 years. I used miralax/enema for 8 months after Botox.

When I first went in it looked more like skin tags now its turned into a hole type thing, I suppose i'll try the Botox its worth a shot right? I don't know my sphincter tone I will have to ask when I next see the dr!

I really hate the idea of enemas are the worth doing? I try to take a bath after each BM in Epsom salts at the moment and then putting Vaseline on after, Which seems like is reducing the bleeding although it could just be the Vaseline blocking the blood from leaking I dont know

Hey all, just an update.

Using Vaseline and Epsom salt baths seems to be healing it... at least I think so...

It looks like it’s healed over but is very white in colour now have had almost 0 bleeding since I last posted here.

Does anyone know what it would look like healing? I can post a pic later to show progress from pic above, if this is healing I can highly recommend what I did to heal

I am back on Nefidipine cream. Doesn't do much. Just had a hot epsom salt bath. I got two things wrong down there. A double Whammy HPV warts and anal fissure. MRI tuesday morning. Ass is spasiming as i write and burning. Cant sit on donut have to lie down on my left side. Getting lots of left arm pain from all the weight going to one side to avoid sitting on giant HPV flat wart on Right Butt Cheek and of course my returned Anal Fissure...Cant take strong pain meds cause of Constipation worries...stuck with Advil or Tyleno Extra Strength...dont do Shit for the pain other than make u dizzy.

Pic of using Vaseline and Epsom salts for 30ish days, Does this look like its healing? Not entirely sure what healing looks like lol, But there is way less bleeding except from inside which i think might be a hem or scar from when doc tried to remove some skin flap last year. Anyway I hope this is a good sign!
