13 Years with a chronic AF!!!

Postby Kristie » 05 Mar 2018, 10:07

Hi All
My AF first started 13 years ago after the birth of my son. I have been booked in for LIS surgery 3 times in the past 13 years but each time I chicken out due to the risk of incontinence. I have had Botox and in 3 days I will have another Botox injection. I have conflicting advice from different surgeons. My female general surgeon suggested AAF. The colorectal surgeon said he would perform LIS before AAF and continued to tell me to persevere with the Botox (he hasn’t done LIS surgery on a woman in 3 years!) I hate this dreaded AF life :( can anyone please shed some light on these surgeries, many thanks.
