That's awesome Chachacha! It's definitely time to celebrate.

Msimon, thanks for your insight. My therapist is very gentle so I do trust her, I just don't fully trust the skin in the anal area. But if I don't see improvement in one more week, I'll go ahead with it. I am having a good day today, muscles feel loose. One day at a time. I'll have to start a new thread somewhere on this forum at some point, didn't mean to hijack Chachacha's thread.

Good luck Chachacha and keep us updated in the future! Success stories are always encouraging.

I feel like a new person and a very lucky one indeed. I will NEVER take pooping for granted again, and hope that all forum members who are suffering will get to a good place soon too.

Hey chachacha can you have formed normal bms now post lis? Are you taking any softeners? If your bms harden up a bit does it hurt? Thanks

Yes, I have perfectly normal and formed BM's now, don't take softeners and while I've only had a couple of hardish movements, there has not been any pain, except for the slight sharpness at the opening, when a less-moist piece comes out. That only lasts for the time it takes to come out though, and doesn't caused any damage or pain afterward.

Thanks so much, do you take fiber ie psyllium husk? And can you eat what ever you want?

I do take a few, but I don't think that they helped me before, or after. I guess that I just do so out of habit now. I suppose that I should quit, to see what happens, and to save a lot of money!

Psyllium husk in capsule form - 4 a day. I originally started taking it to combat diarrhea, but I ended up having to up the dose to the max (20 capsules) over a 6 week period, because it stopped working after just a few days and I would then increase it bit by bit. It eventually stopped working altogether, even at the highest dose. I then continued with it just because I thought that it was a healthy way to easily get some fibre, and just arbitrarily chose 4 capsules as my maintenance dose. I really should stop taking it though, because I really don't think that it does anything at all for me, and it isn't cheap.
