I've felt that way. Please hang in there, because things usually get better.

Please let us know how you are doing.
8/09 - 12/10: fissure, cured by LIS/fissurectomy
1/17 - present: fissure/hemms, healed but pain remained, 3 CRSs (nifedipine, infrared coag) were no help, cold dilating >= 1" helped but still have pain when sitting

Have you seen the volcano fissures in Hawaii? My ass is literally on fire, absolutely nothing helps, I am debilitated.

I'm terribly sorry for the suffering you've been through. Life just doesn't make sense sometimes when we get dealt with health problems that can't be easily cured. It's easy for me to type a few sentences to express support, but you're the one who's living the nightmare, day in and day out. I really do hope that you'll find some solution at the pain clinic. And I'm sure you've heard this before, but can you get some painkillers prescribed to ease the pain somewhat?

thank you, so many nice supportive folks here.

Painkillers don't help, even Tramadol. My biggest issue is spasm. The sphincter is stuck in spasm all the time.

I think you live in Canada right? Is it feasible for you to come to the US for treatment? I know it's very expensive but maybe a consultation with the right doctor might be doable.

I don't remember, hurtinend, have you had LIS yet? And if not, why not? And if so, did they not cut deeply enough?
Fissure since about 2007
Fissure diagnosed in 2011
Diltiazem for two years - didn't work well
LIS January, 2015
Hemorrhoidectomy December, 2017

No LIS, no doctor has offered it. All I ever got was the fissure ointments which never helped.

I gave up and now I need a new referral if I want to see a CRS again.
