i think most of us will just always have to be more cautious than "normal" people. but hopefully our butt problems will make us healthier people in the long run!! w/ all our supplements, vitamins, and healthy food eating, we're going to live long healthy lives! and once we get over our butt obstacles we can really enjoy it Image

Kim, how is it feeling today ? Does it still feel like it's a little cut ?
Yea. I think you're right ......... once a fissure.......always the liklihood of another .
Maybe you should do a few weeks of light nitro just for good measure ??

Thanks guys and gals -- today there was no blood but the stool was very "sractchy" as it passed and my tail was raw feeling. That's about it. I'm sure it will be fine until this happens again -- the rate seems to be about once every month or so and is probably my fault when I take a holiday from the diet. I'll learn, sooner or later!
John, I think I'll skip the nitro for now! :mouse:

Mine was kind of scratchy too since we're playing true confessions of the AF. Just try to keep hydrated today and why not take a couple of fish oil capsules?

How are things going for you Tabby? You are always so nice to ask about others. Where do you think you are with your healing?

Image i know true confessions...How bizzare, i actually took cod liver oil for the first time lastnight !
Image Lecia
Where i am with my healing !!! God only knows Image
My springtime visit was good and my GP said my fissure was healed from the outside....i am not ready for an internal visit just yet !!
I have had my fissure for a year now and its been a long process but i do feel so so much better than i did , the first 6 months were a really bad time, that is the pain i never want to go back to :(
My attitude has changed somewhat too, i really try to think postive and take my mind off things ...EVEN WHEN I FEEL CRAP !
Thanks for asking Lecia
Take care

That photos is so cool! I would love to go the Universal Studios and do that sometime. Maybe we should all meet (those who like Star Wars) at a Star Wars convention! My husband thinks I am a nut!

I am glad that things look good on the outside. A year is such a long time to deal with this-it is great that your attitude got better rather than got worse as usually is the case when something drags on. I am glad the pain is better overall for you though. Yeah the first few months with this was terrible. I was living from bath to bath and advil to advil. Awful.
I wanted to mention that the evening primrose oil really helped me during my peroid. I just finished and it really reduced the amount of cramping uterine and anal. Do I quit taking it now that I am done and wait until next month? Really weird, but I think it is making my breast bigger!!! Image (sorry Kim for the major thread hijack) But I feel kind of nauseous like during a pregnancy and that can't be the case so I guess it isn't meant to take all the time if you haven't reach menopause?

Do you travel to the US much?
