Do you mean a fissure? Please let us know what you have tried to heal it. Did you see a specialist and get prescribed ointments? How about diet modification and stool softeners like miralax or magnesium?
8/16-12/16: Fissure due to antibiotics
5/17: Botox to sphincter, fissure healed
9/19: Trigger point injections and pudendal nerve block
11/19: Botox to pelvic floor
8/20: Botox to pelvic floor in new location.
On and off in pelvic physical therapy

Be more specific man so we can help you.
1 - How long did you make that LIS (1 week ago, 2 weeks ago, 3 weeks...) you know hat i mean.
2 - My doctor gave me 2 pomades, one for the burning & 1 for the itching.

I'm now 6 week out of my LIS, i still have a lil bit of pain, like 1 -2 out of 10 especially after my BM.
I still have that operation site itching sometimes, but it's better day after day.

Someone in here told me to give it 8 weeks (2 months) to not feel anything bad or pain after that, so i'm excited to reach those 2 weeks before checking my doctor again.

PS: the surgery site is kind of healed but there is still that yellowish liquid out of it sometimes, so, i guess it takes more time for it to heal (my friend had it years ago & told me 3 months you'll feel great again). As for my fissure, can't feel anything bad from there, may be like 0.5 or 1 out of 10 kind of pain after BM.

@mrdomas use any calming pomade, i try to insert it inside with ear ticks to make sure the fissure is covered with that pomade & it woks great after every BM. That's the only way to stop the unbearable itching till it heal 100%. That's what i do when the itching becomes unbearable after BM. Also make sure to clean yourself, sometimes even without a noticeable leak there will be some kind of " sweat " there coming from inside your anus which makes that itching. I put a small piece of cotton there (like a plug without pushing it deeper, careful) & i change it every 3 - 4 hours & it works great.

A wonderful product for itchiness is Pranicura. You can order it online...and if you are not satisfied you can request a refund, no questions asked ( you don't even have to return the product). I found this product very soothing !
