Have you tried pranicura or calmoseptine?

https://www.pranicura.com/

The menthol helps with the spasms. In all honesty for me nitro or nifedipine and lidocaine helped with post surgery spasms. Sitting on a heating pad help. Some people do contrast therapy where they sit on the heating pad or in a hot bath and then ice it..

Do hot baths help at all?

I alternate heat and cold, it used to help a lot but not much anymore

I also have calmoseptine, it’s a challenge to get it up inside. My main pain feels like it’s a few inches up

Never tried Pranicura but it seems similar to calmoseptine minus the zinc oxide

I’m a veteran trust me I’ve tried so many things, problem now is the pain is much more intense than ever before

I know I must get off the morphine but it’s difficult to do and I’ll have to follow a weaning off schedule

Hurtinend. Wondered how you are and if you have been able to seek help and gain any ease to your symptoms?

thank you for the reply

I’m not going well. Pain is getting worse

Pain spasm is always there but after I bm my day is over

It hurts to pee as well, the muscles in the pelvic floor spasm every time I urinate.

I’m debilitated. The pain is now 24\7.

I have opiates and muscle relaxers but they don’t help much although at least helps me sleep at night

I’ve given up as far as doctors go.

I know this is a fissure board so I’m not sure I belong here I don’t know.

Well I don’t believe my problem is fissure at least not now it seems to be an over reaction of nerve pain but I find the site helps me anyways.
I don’t know if a chronic pain forum would help or not benefit you. It’s only talking but you could pick up something from it to help you maybe. You must feel helpless - I feel helpless for you . Doctors should not send people away in that much pain without dealing with it. I’m really sorry to hear you’re no better.

the specialist knew I was on Morphine so he didn’t offer any pain management. He actually questioned it and I said that my pain was out of control and family doctor decided to prescribe it.

Bottom line they don’t have cures or treatments for most chronic issues.

I am getting a caudal epidural nerve block in November. I don’t have much confidence that it will help.

Agree chronic pain is a mystery to most GPs and doctors and they tend to just make you go away.
Have you had that procedure before?

No but I’ve recently had a pudendal and a ganglion impar nerve block, no relief from either.

This has gone starting from anal fissure...finally got somewhat better but morphed into bladder pain and tightness and now into chronic rectal pelvic pain

Doctors say it’s classic CPPS (chronic pelvic pain syndrome)...the pelvic floor is malfunctioning causing a host of symptoms.

Once the scans and blood work etc don’t show anything serious you are pushed into the chronic pain corner.

I’m lucky I guess my family doctor is sympathetic but he is out of answers. He just prescribes things in an attempt to manage the pain, as long as I don’t abuse it.

2 years ago when I was in the ER with insane pain, the doctor said that it hurts him to see chronic pain patients because he feels helpless and can only try to help make things more manageable for the patient.

I know I posted this link before, but I think this essay by a GP in the UK gives a good idea of the problems that chronic pain causes for doctors, who want to provide effective treatment but find themselves blocked by the nature of pain itself:

https://abetternhs.net/2013/09/07/pain/

I'm sorry you are still suffering with CPPS, and hope you can get some proper help. I tried physical therapy, but found in the end that I get more relief by just trying to live a quiet routine with rest and exercise (mostly swimming and walking). I've also discovered that a moderate daily dose of pregabalin (300 mg) helps a bit.

thanks for the link, it’s true chronic pain is a mostly a mystery. And by the way I’m in a legal fight for Disability Insurance...they deny chronic pain patients 85% of the time. My lawyer says I will win my case but I have to wait for the court mediation process.

The pain clinic told me that swimming or working out in a pool is best. I’m going to try it.

I’m done paying $120.00 Canadian dollars for each pelvic physio visit.

Pelvic Pain is also unique in that it does not respond to painkillers very well.
