OMB...sorry to hear you are dealing with pain...it sucks and I wish I could take it away. I always find sharing my concerns and struggles to be somewhat helpful - it doesn’t deal with the physical pain...but helped me deal with the emotional pain. I hope you are getting some comfort in that respect. You have been there for so many others over the years - some times it’s your turn to receive rather than give.

Any chance you could find a more gentle or understanding CRS? I hate hearing that a CRS was any cause of discomfort...that’s just not right.

Sending you a ton of strength and support.

Thank you Canada.... you’re so sweet, I really appreciate your support and advice over the years!
I agree, the support on here is amazing and has pulled me out of some very dark and painful times.

I’ve actually got an appointment with a local crs.... it’s on 16/12 ... but at the moment I’m probably going to cancel as I cannot face being messed with. I will see how I feel nearer the time.

I’m hoping you are still living life and pain free?

Still struggling with the fissure… but struggling even more with awful coccyx pain. I think my pelvic floor muscles have gone into spasm all over.
I’m so fed up of this every couple of years. Sigh.

I'm so sorry to hear that. Have you had any potential treatment options suggested by your doctor?
8/16-12/16: Fissure due to antibiotics
5/17: Botox to sphincter, fissure healed
9/19: Trigger point injections and pudendal nerve block
11/19: Botox to pelvic floor
8/20: Botox to pelvic floor in new location.
On and off in pelvic physical therapy

No, I’ve not bothered to see anyone about it this time. Every time I get looked at or messed with things get worse, so I’m just sticking to conservative methods and hoping it will heal again over time.
I’m seeing a pt about the coccyx pain soon. I suspect it’s my pelvic floor muscles causing it.

How are you Patients?

I can understand that exams in that area can definitely irritate things. I hope you heal soon with the methods you are using.

I am doing all right, currently trying to rebalance my gut after antibiotics messed it up.
