Thanks Missy! If I recall correctly, you’ve been thinking about LIS? Right? If so, DO IT! I don’t want my story to scare anything thinking about LIS. I hardly feel my LIS incision and BMs are so much easier now. They just fall out because I’m not so tight anymore. My pain is all the cleaning out of scar tissue from my fistula surgery in the 6 o’clock posterior position. I basically have an open wound that is very painful.
Day 8 (am):
Some progress today, which I’m so thankful for. Last night was the first night I didn’t wake up and need to take more pain medicine in the middle of the night. Woohoo! Trust me, I’m still feeling the discomfort but it was tolerable. I consider that a win! Thank you day 8!! My morning BM was also not as painful. When I say not as painful, I mean that I wasn’t biting down on a towel and rocking back and fourth on the toilet. It still hurt like a bitch but not as bad. I did notice blood in the toilet with this BM which is something I haven’t noticed before. Usually, I have watery bloody discharge on my pantyliner but never in the toilet. I’m not going to worry to much about the blood as it’s normal to bleed up to 2 weeks (per the discharge papers).
