Thats great to hear. Hope you heal quickly. From your posts it seems like you might be from Wa state. If so, can you recommend a surgeon. Thank you!

Hey! I am considering LIS and I figure a fissurectomy and maybe tag removal will need to be done as well. How are you doing now?

Hey! Thanks for asking. I typed up a big thing and went to submit and lost it. Dang it! So, I will summarize here.

I’m 17 weeks post op and still healing the fistula site. It’s still sore, itchy, skin pulling feeling and just general soreness. I’m on the path to hopefully have full healing at the 6 month mark like a lot of people have with this surgery.

The LIS site healed very quickly. I’d say around 2-3 weeks I could not longer feel anything. It was amazing! My advice to you is get the surgery. The surgery is routine and easy for the doc and the recovery will be a breeze compared to living with an active fissure. Good luck to you!

Pzgre just wanted to jump in an say here in nz they don't routinely remove skin tags with lis because it increases potential for issues ie infection an they dont believe the tag is a problem for people once the fissure has healed. Its a second wound site. Just thought I'd tell you that.
