Newbie with anal pain

Postby Drbill123 » 27 Sep 2022, 20:46

Newbie to forum but not to analyze pain Had a colon resection in July and shortly afterwards I had more frequent bowel movements (no constipation) but have developed severe painful perinatal pain with painful tears Doc gave me anti fungals, lidocaine and steroids but still come and go esp after bowel movements Dont believe it’s classic ant/posterior fissure but certainly hurts like it Any advice so I can be whole and loose the sleepless nites

Are you seeing a colorectal specialist for this? I'm not sure why you were given steroid cream. That will thin out the skin over time and make it harder to heal.
8/16-12/16: Fissure due to antibiotics
5/17: Botox to sphincter, fissure healed
9/19: Trigger point injections and pudendal nerve block
11/19: Botox to pelvic floor
8/20: Botox to pelvic floor in new location.
On and off in pelvic physical therapy
