I have a preferred colorectal surgeon. They are happy to repeat the botox procedures, but have made it clear they don't expect it to be a cure at this point.
She was very nice about it, but referred me to the pain specialist and pelvic floor physio stating there's not much else she can do medically/diagnostically. Which is difficult to hear since I still have the same pain, but I understand her point.
She can't see any physiological issue - There's no fissure. There's noting more to treat, but she's happy to repeat the botox since there's really no risk and it does provide some relief. But it's short-term, expensive...not ideal.
There's been no permanent change, so I think she's being realistic, this isn't just a matter of time.
As I said originally, I've tried pain specialist, physio, CRS - There's not really much left to do, so it's just something I live with. Sometimes it doesn't seem worth it and there's probably a point as I get older it'll be too much.
Appreciate the posts on here - There's no one IRL that gets it.
