Thanks for your kind words. I'm sorry to hear you're still dealing with your fissure. I'm glad it's better. It can take such a long time to heal. Have you done anything besides ointments?

I'm curious what kind of stomach issues you have? I've been dealing with a lot of gut issues myself. I've had a stubborn case of SIBO, probably for a long time. It's better now after I did an elemental diet for 3 weeks in the late spring. I still have a lot of bloating and I've always had IBS. I'm on a journey to improve my health in general.

I had a bad ecoli and shigella infection 2 years ago, ever since I'm not able to eat a regular diet.
I can't eat any seasonings of any kind, if I do I have horrible cases of diarrhea for days. It can be so bad I have accidents too. I'm pretty much on a low fod maps diet and that is the only way I can live a semi normal type of life and still go to work. My gastro suspects SIbo as well for me too. However I never did the SIbo test because insurance did not want to cover test. I believe it's a breath test. I heard SIbo is cured with antibiotics but that it can easily come back. Was that the case for you? I feel we have similar issues. I too have IBS d , mine is called post infectious ibs

It sounds like you probably do have sibo. Since yours was caused by an infection, there's a good chance it could be cured with antibiotics and not come back. Mine was probably caused by several factors that have impaired my digestion. Hashimotos and having no gall bladder are some reasons I think. I did the breath test 3 times. I had high methane sibo. Antibiotics didn't help. That's why I did elemental. It helped a lot with my symptoms and my last breath test was negative for sibo. The bloating never went away though.
