I was gutted to read your latest message, i am so so sorry you are having to go through the unknown again, this is so unfair
I am glad to see you have been researching and i think the blood works are a good idea, I hope you are not in too much pain

I am going back to Wake Forest today to see the CRS who is back from vacation. I also talked to my PCP yesterday and she agrees that something else may be going on. She isn't as concerned that it could be a clotting disorder but a compression caused by my pelvic organs. When I had my pap done last week, it took her 5 tried to find my cervix because she said my uterus is tilted back into my rectum and she had to use a very long speculum and press down hard on the vaginal wall to get it to tilt up so she could collect the specimen. She is talking to a radiologist today to see what kind of scan he would recommend to get a better idea of what is happeneing. I suggesteda doppeler study so we can see the blood flow in and out of the area.

It still hurts and I have two lumps. One is starting to look like a lesion of some sort. I hope they can find out why this is happening to me and that there is something we can do. I guess in the back of my mind I think they might want to do a hysterectomy. I am done having kids but it just worries me.

I hope he can help me figure all this out. I talked to him on the phone and said I can't live like this and he agreed that I should not become an invalid over this.

Lecia baby - I hope you will find definite answer today and that you will not be in too much pain during exam and during the trip !!! It is just unfair that you have to go through all of this without at least a month of break and that new things are emerging up - but maybe your uterus was the problem all this time (???!!!) - putting extra pressure on
your colon - who knows my buddy - maybe your OB will be one who will heal your butt - just crazy .
Mine uterus is tilted too BTW, and there is some pelvic congestion present that was seen on CT or MRI ( I forgot what they did ) - but nobody took it as a serious anything and it might be !

lecia, your lumps that turned into lesions sound like my fish tank granulomas!!!!! i still have them but they are getting better....slowly but better.....(since feb. and i bet i will have them through august)....
anyway, just trying to put a smile on your face.....

Well, just an update. I an scheduled to go back to WF on Monday to meet with a vascular surgeon who can maybe give us some insight at to what is going on that might be causing impingement in the area. Then I will see a gyn up there too to see how the repro organs situation might be affecting the area as well. It will take some time to get through all of these appts and get any usable information but hopefully it will be fruitful and there will be a clear cut solution. My CRS is kind of handing me off. He might do a colonoscopy but other than that he doesn't think any more rectal surgery is going to help. In fact, he wonders if I haven't had too much done down there that now there arent enough veins to take the blood away so it stagnates. He gave me a Rx for diltiazem to try.

I told my Mayo GI doc about this group also. Maybe we will be inundated with thousands of new people joining the group if some of these docs send their patients here. This morning I asked my minister friend to pray for you (sometimes it helps to have others praying that have really good connections!!).

Glad you are able to go to some new Docs, maybe they will give new insight and figure out what is going on down there. Hope you are feeling better today. Are you in a lot of discomfort? Glad you got a prescription for the diltiazem. Hoping that will help with the area and keep the blood moving.

Yes, I am in pain but I got through the 8 hours car trip with only one pain pill + 2 DQ blizzards.

Ironically, my minister friend is not with our church. He is a former co-worker of mine with whom I have stayed in touch since we worked together several years ago, but I consult him regularly about my own issues as well as those of my friends as he is a minister/chaplain who now is doing respite. By the way, his name is Dwight and he is having a leg prob himself at the moment. Like the picture.
