Thanks Hugh, I remember checking out this site years ago and reading a couple of the patients' stories. I believe one of the surgical experiences in there put me off surgery for a long time.. and because there were so many positive stories in there relating to healing by diet and creams etc.. I continued to soldier on...
There is so much info on this site, I am still yet to get all the way through it.

You need to get yourself a laptop like I have and lie down and you can type to your little heart's content without having to sit on your fissure!

Well, when I had my fissure, I spent a LOT of time "kneeling" to the computer.
But sometimes no posture would help! :(
