I take it every day. Sometimes I up it a little bit before my period.

Yeah, I definitely think something has fallen and is compressing the nerve and once that gets fixed, the nerve pain should go away. How are you managing the pain?

i'm not!! its totally unbearable. my doctor says to take 2 tramadol plus 2 paracetamol 4 times a day with the amitryptiline, then phone him again tomorrow, but nothings working. he mentioned some sort of patch he could give me - you suggested one of those too, so hopefully that may work!

He might mean the fentanyl patch. I took that when nothing else worked for the pain. It does take a few days once you put it on for it to be absorbed in your blood stream sufficiently. Also, don't forget about asking about lyrica and cymbalta!

Val,
I'm really sorry you are still in such pain. It is too much to have 2 different pains... I hope you can get some relief from the patch.

Sure-next 19th and 20th?

How do you go about getting an appt. there? Do you need an outside referral from a doctor?

I made my own arrangements, but had my local gp's office do the paperwork for my insurance. Have you ever considered a visit there since they see so many unusual cases that seemingly have no possible resolution? Yes 19th and 20th.

Yes, we have thought about Mayo or Cleveland Clinic. Can I just self-refer? I think after this next round of doctors appointments in the next 2 weeks I am going to see about going to the pelvic pain clinic at UNC-Chapel Hill.

I see the CRS and GYN next week and then go see a holistic DO the following week.
