hi guys... just to chime in. there will not be capital letters because i type with one hand since i am on my belly. i had painful bm this morning, i mean very painful and some diluted blood was on tp. i think my night bm was too big and solid for some reason, maybe that dervocet is constipating after all ; ((, so i am afraid to take it this morning ; (((( and i need it desperately . i am taking mom an mg, still , i think maybe metamucil contributed since in my dazed state i mixed it with water insread of instant tea and noticed half way through ; (((. anyway.. jen, if it makes you fel any better - i am bmmed out too. my both sphincters are tighter than before he surgery - imagine that !!!!!!!!! it is because of swelling and shock and i do not see how on earth i can heal now ; ((( ????
i use nitro again and it helps somewhat with spasms - but not enough . after first lis my bms were immediately bigger and without any pain - now my poop is thiner and hurts like hell. after
first lis my sphincter got tighter over time and my poop got thinner. now i pray for the opposite ... i am in so much pain ...i don't know what to do.....and only last night i felt like it is all little bt better - i saw a little part of sun...now i am in the dark pitt again...
jen i am so sorry that you do not feel well ant that your son is ill - it is all so unfair ...but i am sure that you will heal soon, you just need time ...i don't know what i need .....i do not feel any better after 6 days ; (((. last time i went to celebrate new year eve just 10 days after lis . i know that this time so many things were done, but still....not a single step forward ; (((((

I agree with you Kim, I feel like this Image before I am having a BM. When I sit there I actually feel the tightness coming on... Poor butt Image

I remember those terrible, dark days when I wondered if the sun would come out again. Your bottom is spasming because of the trauma which is normal but it should settle down soon. You will heal but there are going to be days when you wonder if you will ever feel normal again. When things slow me down when I take narcotics I use 500 mg of senna leaf supplement and that helps to keep things moving. Also prunes or prune juice helps the colon to contract to keep things moving. I would not stop the pain meds. Darvocet is very light. How many do you take a day? It is the mildest narcotic after codeine (which fewer people tolerate well). You need to treat the pain. I know it is harder because you can't take ibuprofen. What about relafen and darvocet? Take 2 darvocet and go get in the tub. Don't test it out, just expect that you will need pain meds for a bit and don't wait to see if you really, really, really need it because I can say that most of my desperation came from undertreating my pain. There are ways to counteract the constiipating effects like the prunes or senna. Also most people get vicodin or percocet for post-surgical pain. What you are taking is very mild, like they would give someone for dental surgery. So please don't hesitate to take 2.

And Jen, that goes for you too!

thanks budddyyyyy Image Image Image There was no way on earth i would be able to stay in that pain for long - i got it before i read your post so I took 2 dervocets - pain started radiating to my "front', oh boy -- horror story ----nothing else Image Yes, crs offered me couple of meds and i asked which one is not constipating and he said dervocet so i took that one. now i am sure that stupid metamucil made my poop formed Image since i went pooping 4 times yesterday and the last one at 10 pm was that big thing Image :flush: - it did hurt but not much and i thought - oh, maybe it is getting better all over - but this morning my uber sof poop made me bleed - i think last night trauma is seen today Image . Buddy tell me that things will get better Image Image Image - right ????? This is just not happening Image Image Image

I will pay for the plane ticket and Lecia can go hold your hand, Fissy.
I feel for you, buddy. :( I've been there and I know.
Do treat your pain and if you can get a valium, take it! You need it, oh one-handed typist!
And be still and calm and find your center and breathe deeply. It sounds like malarkey but it can help.

Yes, it will get better! Do you remember how agonizing it was when I had my hem surgery? I could hardly make it to the boards! I also had these watery burning poos that would wake me up out of my sleep and I would have to grab a cool wash cloth to put the fire out. It was horrendous. But it did get better. I don't have that alien skin tag anymore. It is very intense pain but you will come out of this. I am glad you took something. If it isn't enough maybe ask about the vicodin. Your body needs to be relaxed to heal. I got some valium which helps to relax the sphincter when I was healing and that helped. Maybe you can have your hubby call and ask them to call in a Rx for you of that.

Keep the area dry after you get out of the tub-use a hairdryer and don't poke and peek. I wish I had my old hemmorhoid photos-those would scare the pants off of you but at least you would know that you butt can look like a grenade went off in it and then now it looks pretty normal. (it still hurts, but that is my neuropathy and candidasis I think)

thanks buddy - you are the best Image I remember all of your pain - I remember first night when you felt like pooping and could not and your hubby told you to go in the tub Image but still spasm was so strong you could not :( :( :( , I remember when you got infection and I was here shaking in fear for you and was bugging Kim every couple of hours if he had any news , I remember crying for your pain - it was all so unfair and surreal, and that damn bleeding that never wanted to stop Image Image Image
You are absolutely right about valium - i have couple of pills left and I am rationing them - take a half of it when i just can't take it any more . I am affraid to ask for them - i think he might think that i am junky since he does not know me well. my sf crs would have no problem with it but he might be upset that i call around. My primary would give them too, i think , i don't know what to do ? I really need them and they help with spasms !
Thank you my dear sweet Lecia - what would we do here without you ?????? You are out "mother Ship" Image and one day will lead us all to freedom of butt pain :alien: .

Lecia -
why does everyone say blow dry your bum? Does that prevent infections? I have read it on the boards several times.
Fissy -
I wish we were neighbors so we could hang out all day and complain about our stupied butts! We could open a butt spa or something where we would offer heating treatments, hot tubes, and creams. I am so sorry hun! This is just terrible. No one should have to put up with this crap. Please keep taking your pain meds!!!!
