Tried - did not work :( But had one successful rescue though . Eight ducklings fell in the sewage hole - of course of ALL holes in the whole neighborhood -in the one in front of my home !!! My hubby was on the business trip, so I tried and tried to open that damn iron grill without any success. I called Wildlife Rescue - it was not their "domain" (WHAT ???), called Humane Society (not THEIR domain ???!!!) I was beside myself !!!!! So, I called my neighbor for help although he hated all animals - I thought- what can I loose at this point - my kids were already crying their eyes out and other kids started gathering and panicking, and mama duck was Quacking like crazy ...to make the story short - he did pull up the grill and jumped inside and took them all out and I put them in the box and walked a looooooooong walk while mama duck was following me and let them all near the creek and gave her a lesson in child rearing and went back home

oh definitely corsica....i just got back from a short 2 hour jog. i hope i am not running my knees into the ground because they don't feel too sturdy!!!! yikes!!!! i think this may be the last marathon for me and i will concentrate in the future on just half marathons. those i can do with ease. and they are not as hard to train for. as a matter of fact, i have never done a half-marathon - just full marathons.
i soooo would love to have a double cheeseburger with those spicy/herb fries and a big big big cherry coca-cola....how un-macrobiotic of me!!!! but i so deserve it.
