Jen,
I think you indicated how much benefibre you take daily but I forgot. How much do you take and how many times a day. I am only taking 7/8 teaspoon once a day, but presently I have been able to decrease the amount of Miralax which makes me very happy!!! :D
I'll try to change my avatar the Hawaiian islands in honor of your trip which you so richly deserve. We will all be there with you in spirit. Maybe Kim might even change the look of the board for you. My only regret is that I am not going also. Where are you staying in Oahu? We stayed at the Lei Princess Hotel, I think and were on the 20th floor with a fantastic view. I don't like heights, so I did have a prob when stepping out onto our veranda. Our first day there was the day a prisoner captured a police officer in Atlanta (2005). It was all over the news. You need to stay connected to the board even after you get completely healed as a medical consultant as you continue to gain knowledge.

Thanks Jo, Corsica, Tabby, Lecia & cheryl!! Image
Corsica - I can sit without any problems. I am feeling ok lately - but I am afraid to say how well I am really feeling if you know what I mean! Image How are you? Are you still numb? How is the Miralax working?
Lecia - Thanks sweetie! Your always so kind to me!
Cheryl - I have been alternating every couple days between Fissy's smooth texture metamucil and the benefiber. I take about 1 1/2 tsp of the benefiber on certain days and 1 tsp of the metamucil. I also take my mag pill, omega 3-6-9 oil, evening primrose (Thanks Tabby & Lecia!), and a multivitamin. That is good that you lowered your miralax dose - The benefiber really does work!
That is a nice avatar! I will have to change mine soon to a Hawaiin theme as well. I wanted to loose 5 pounds before the trip, but I have been so busy with school and tests coming up, I have only been running my usual 2-3 days a week. If I want to loose weight, it seems I need to run 4-5 days a week. Oh well...We are actually lucky and we are staying with family on Oahu. I have an uncle (my dad's brother) who lives there and my hubby's sister lives there as well. We are staying one night downtown at the Hale Koa. I am so nervous because my sister in law is watching my son one night and I have never been seperated from him for an entire night. I think I may "chicken out" which will really make my husband mad. I know he is looking forward to our "date night".
How have you been? i am sure you have been busy as usual with your autism program. It is just so great you are so involved Cheryl!
I will always stay connected to the board! I love you guys!

Jen,
Maybe you can post to the board while you are in Paradise. That is good that you have family there as it is quite an expensive place!! I'm sure that your son will probably sleep most of the night. It is good for your son to adjust without you in case you ever have to be hospitalized or something. Yes, tomorrow I hope to participate in a phone conference where I have to call an 800 # and use a passcode. Hopefully, everything will go OK and I will get connected. I will soon be starting my science ambassador training and also hope to attend a local conference this weekend to hopefully distribute my materials to interested persons. I am looking forward to the phone conference as other ATP ambassadors will be on the phone. I often feel like I am the only one doing this advocacy even though I'm not. I am starting to get really excited for you about your trip. I may view my pictures. Be sure to buy some jewelry if you can. I bought a white gold slipper necklace which I love. I often wear it. I hope you have good weather. I may check the weather there while you are on vacation. We had pretty good weather in March.

You know, he will do better than you expect. I always worried so about the first time my little ones spent the night away but they actually ended up having more fun than I did. He will be fine. Enjoy all that extra, er, sleep! Image
