I find that 4 or 5 dried figs a day seems to help things along. I found out by accident, I just really like them so a bought some and was pleasantly surprised.

Pomegranates made my stools perfect! But they are only in season a couple months during the winter! :)

how about pomegranates juice? it is more available I think.

I drink the juice every day. But the fruit is loaded with these little seeds, which really turned my stools into a perfect "4" on the Bristol stool scale, and the stools stayed that way day after day after day...until I had my surgery and they went out of season, all in the same time frame...
I had been drinking the juice while I had my fissure, and that, in and of itself, really did nothing (but make me healthier)..
