Hi all, I'm so glad I found this forum, it's great just to know that your not alone with this terrible condition, I don't know whether it's just me or not but there's been times when i've felt so isolated and alone :( anyway, now that i've found this forum and read many of the user posts I feel somewhat better.
To cut a long story short I've had hemmies on and off for over 10 years and have a fissure as a result of a banding procedure that went wrong, i'm currently waiting to see a CRS so I can discuss further options including possible surgery.

Thanks Cheryl, I have a GP appointment tomorrow and will be pushing him for an appt with a CRS, after reading all the stories on here I think it's well worth trying for LIS and maybe even haemorrhoidectomy as well, anything has to be better than this living hell that revolves around the bathroom..
