A quick fissure poem

Postby StevePain » 03 Apr 2010, 15:18

I remember the time I was hard on the potty,
now i'm stuck on a diet with a really sore botty,
I feasted on junk food and drank beers galore,
Now I can't even sit on the living room floor,
Four stool softeners a day and plenty of water,
I should of known better, you'd think I oughta,
Now i'm destined for a life on the vegetable soup,
not because I like it, because it's easier to poop,
So take my advice and never push or strain,
or you'll end up like me with a lifetime of pain!

I did cheryl, it's a pastime of mine, I used to write regularly, but since this damn fissure started I can't think of anything else other than that

That was a very good poem, Steve!! Did you ever read the poem I composed for our last board contest??? (It was b/4 you joined us!) It just kind of "came" to me while lying in bed one day--I usually can't write anything at all! I'll repost it here for you:
We've created a contest here
To foster more holiday cheer
Now each person please vote
For your favorite boardie here
Then the winners will receive prizes
As Christmas draws near

Steve,
I wanted to let you know that I said special prayers for you, NG, and Dazzy today--hoping that each of your individual situations will soon resolve into healing.
I have finally decided that some actual good can come from having an AF (an idea with which I am sure the 3 of you would not agree with right now). I'll add that on a separate post later!!

Thank you so much cheryl. Image
and lars, lets keep up hoping and praying that one day we will all be healed from this terrible ordeal, we all have to try and think positively, I know how hard that is when all we can think about is this awful pain.

You're welcome, Steve!! Image
I'll include this in my "good news" thread later, but I was thinking there can be good that comes from having an AF. When I was going through the angony and angst (horrible for me also), I felt it was the WORST calamity that could ever befall a person. Image But now that I am healed, I realize that it taught me so much about being compassionate towards others who are suffering from various ills since I now know what true suffering is all about (and really didn't b/4 the fissure). It also completely transformed the relationship I have with my FIL (which wasn't terrible b/4 the fissure) because he now has cancer and also went through some unrelated surgery prior to his cancer diagnosis. I never felt this way during the time of my suffering (mental and physical), but on the backside of it (pun intended) I can really see that some good came out of it. It has also made my volunteering for the Red Cross take on a new meaning as the donors are helping to save lives with their blood donations, and I am helping facilitate all of that! I know that Steve, NG, Lars, and even Dazzy will all get healed. We just don't know the time frame right now!!! Image
