DAY 12
I am feeling almost normal now. The pain of the first week is just a memory, and I am now pain-free almost all the time.
On Day 10, I felt really good and, as a result, did too much. I put in a few hours of work, drove to the office to pick up my mail, stopped in at the bank and did some banking, and did quite a bit of walking on top of that. I did not feel so great the next morning, but by 2 or 3 in the afternoon, I was feeling pretty good again.
Today, my BMs did not hurt for the first time since the surgery, and there was no pain afterwards, either.
There is a small bump in my butt, which feels like a roid, but I am sure it is just the swelling from the surgery. And it is much smaller than the roids were.
I have some discharge, which is fairly constant, but it is light now and I have switched to very thin panty liners, even at night.
This afternoon, I played nine holes of golf with my wife. I took it easy, but the walking felt great and I had no pain at all. If you had asked me if I thought I would be walking a golf course at 12 days after surgery, I would have said no way, but there it is.
DAY 13
I go to the bathroom, I have a poop, I wipe, I leave. No pain, no fuss. End of story. Nothing to see here folks. Move along now.
Thank you all for your support and encouragement. I believe that I am finally healed.
Steve, keep up the recovery and you will be feeling better in no time.
