Sheesh, where to begin.....Before Christmas I had my appt. with the CRS and she said that things seem to be improving and doesn't think I'll need surgery
It had been 3 weeks since I had scheduled the appt. and things were better than when I had called. I'm just trying to stay on top of things with water, colace, etc....I'm happy to say that, while things aren't perfect down there, it has gotten much better! The dr. did prescribe a higher dose of Nifedipine and that seems to be helping more than the original batch. One day at a time, ya know?As for why I haven't been around, aside from the busy-ness of the holidays, my kids have been continually sick. I'll spare you all the details, but by the 12th of the month I had taken the kids to 7 dr. appt.'s with the causes being strep throat, 2 with double ear infections, and a sinus infection. We've had a total of 6 antibiotics....
It took 3 antibiotics before my 9 month old's ear started improving. Unfortunately, the meds cause diarrhea so then she had a raw little bottom. Every change was so painful for her...and me
As you all know, I can totally relate to ass pain 
That has pretty much cleared up with a switch to soy formula and a probiotic powder, but now the poor darling has a yeast infection, also from the meds!Another of the appt.s was to re-check Rebecca's (9 mos. old)kidneys from an infection she had a few months back. She does still have some "shadowing" on there so our dr. will speak with a kidney specialist to see what needs to be done.
We've really started 2007 off well, huh? I wonder what our insurance company must be thinking! I'm hoping that we're getting all this out of the way early and everyone will be terribly healthy for the rest of the year....yeah, that's it :bouncy:
