for the last week i have been having trouble with constipation, on friday gave myself a enema and then again today. seems i cant go to the bathroom without a enema. i am eating right, vegatables, drinking lots of water, and try to take some fiber everyday. also using 2 stool softners a day. what else can i use to soften things up, i am at my wits end..

It might not be true constipation. I wasn't ever constipated until Igot the fissure! The muscle contracts tightly,and won't let anything past it until it relaxes, so the trick is to get it to relax before a bm.
Try a warm bath, or press some toilet paper soaked in hot water for a minute, or get one of the relaxer creams, to see if any of that helps!

I second Val. I rarely had constipation before my fissure and had a hard time getting the muscle to relax so I could go. It was horrible. All she mentioned above can help!
