A couple months ago I posted about severe fissure pain and was fortunate enough to be able to see a CRS fairly quickly who diagnosed the problem as 2 fissures. About a month after trying the nifedipine ointment I started to feel better, but still suffered mild pain and bleeding with BM's. I also noticed a strange lesion developing. I'm a homosexual male so I kind of freaked out. 2 doctors said it was a large wart. Just my luck. I researched the least invasive way to get this removed and research pointed to radiofrequency ablation. Unfortunately I'm CA where I live it was going to take months to see anyone, so I booked an appointment with a specialist in MN.
Yesterday I went to see to get what I thought was a large wart romoved. He looked and instantly told me it was a skin tag from the chronic fissure and said the only way for that fissure to heal was with LIS. He performed both LIS and the tag removal under local. I was terrified as I had to be on a plane all day immediately following the surgery. He assured me u would be fine.
After the surgery I felt pain once the local wore off, but nothing compared to my initial fissure pain. Today I woke up and feel much better. I'm still terrified for my first BM, but so far so good. I'll continue to update.
